TDSB's Real Estate Process - An Overview

On Tuesday May 27th, the Toronto District School Board's process for the sale and/or lease of surplus property was outlined by Sheila Penny, the board's Executive Superintendent of Facility Services. Two examples of redevelopment opportunities - the objective of any change to the TDSB's real estate portfolio - were discussed and highlighted. This is a link to the presentation.

US House of Representatives Passes $20 Billion Green Schools Act

Washington, DC - June 4, 2008- The US House of Representatives has committed more than $20 billion over the next five years to help states build and renovate schools to make them more energy-efficient and good for the environment. The "21st Century Green High-Performing Public School Facilities Act" will save school districts billions in energy costs while reducing asthma and other environmentally linked health problems.
