Green Charter School Network Launches in US

Madison, WI - About 75 fans of charter schools and the environment gathered on February 10th at the Madison Arboretum to share ideas and experiences about schools which focus on environmental studies. The meeting, the launch of the new Green Charter Schools Network based in Madison, included representatives from charter schools from Wisconsin and Minnesota, from government agencies, businesses with an interest in the environment and conservation groups like Wisconsin Waterfowl and the Aldo Leopold Center. All the "green" charter schools are members of publicy funded local school boards. More informaiton about the Network can be obtained at
