New York City Green Schools Guide and Rating System Released

The NYC School Construction Authority has published a "Green Schools Guide and Rating System" which will be used to guide the sustainable design, construction and operation of new schools (and major renovations). It includes enhancements of LEED - because LEED isn't yet school specific - as well as best practices adopted from the Collaborative for High Performing Schools. (Look for CHPS under the "Green Links" button). The system is intended for most projects whose cost is greater than US$2 million. This is a big, authoritative document ....
